California's Water Crisis

Welcome

Welcome to the Twentynine Palms Water District. The District is a public agency serving residents of Twentynine Palms and areas of unincorporated San Bernardino County.

The District is totally independent of all city and county governments. None of the revenue obtained by the District is used to subsidize non-water related activities or the activities of any other agency.

The District is governed by a locally elected Board of Directors. The members of the Board live in the community and pay the same water rates that all customers pay. The members of the Board are directly accountable to the residents of the community.

The District is dedicated to providing a safe and adequate supply of water at the lowest feasible cost to the people of the District and to preserve and protect the water resources within its established boundaries.

Assessment Information

Do you have questions about the Water Availability Assessment (29 Palms Water Standby) or the Fire Suppression Availability Assessment  (29 Palms Fire Special Tax) on your San Bernardino County property tax bill?  Refer to our FAQ section for additional information.

Water Education Program

In coordination with the California Water Awareness Campaign, in May 2011 the District observed Water Awareness Month.  The District promotes public awareness about the vital role of water and the importance of its conservation and protection.  Please take a look at our Kid's Page for great games, sweet treats, and lots more!
