Account Setup
New Accounts
To establish permanent water service with
the Twentynine Palms Water District please begin the process of
setting up your new account.
Residential and Commercial Accounts

Service Application: This can be completed
in person or over the phone by
contacting customer service.
A non-refundable Opening Fee of
$15.00 must be paid at time of application . If you
wish to connect service after hours an additional $35.00
charge will be applied. These fees can be paid in
person, over the phone via Visa or MasterCard or by cash,
check, or money order. Service can be connected the same
day if fees are paid by 2 PM.

Establishment of Credit: The District
also requires a deposit for water service (refundable upon
meeting District criteria) which must be
paid at time of application. In lieu of this requirement you may submit
proof of good payment history (over the last 2 year period
or 1 if billed monthly) from another current or
previous utility company (water, gas or electric only) or provide a
current credit report from a national credit bureau (not older than
3 months).

Proof of Identity: Please be prepared
to provide proof
of identity, i.e. a valid State driver's license, valid US
Military identification card, or California Identification
(ID) card and your Social Security Number. Developer or Commercial
accounts will be required to provide their Federal Tax Id
Number.

Deposits
The amount of any deposit required by
the District shall be based on the size of the water meter
servicing the location and in accordance with the following:
Upon completion of any
consecutive two year period of water service with the District,
the customer may request a refund of the deposit amount.
It is the responsibility of the customer to request
consideration of a refund as the District will not initiate
refund procedures. The refund will be granted by the
District only if the customer has met the specified
requirements. If you have any questions regarding a refund
